Email Hosting Companies

Email Hosting Companies.
If you intend to send many large numbers of emails for business and want to avoid spamming then you should get a web hosted domain with an email account which means you can send millions of emails without any interference as you are a website owner who controls an email account.
Email hosting services usually offer premium email at a cost as opposed to advertising supported free email or free webmail. Email hosting services thus differ from typical end-user email providers such as webmail sites. They cater mostly to demanding email users and Small and Mid Size (SME) businesses, while larger enterprises usually run their own email hosting service. Email hosting providers allow for premium email services along with custom configurations and large number of accounts. In addition, hosting providers manage user's own domain name, including any email authentication scheme that the domain owner wishes to enforce in order to convey the meaning that using a specific domain name identifies and qualifies email senders.

Most email hosting providers offer advanced premium email solutions hosted on dedicated custom email platforms. The technology and offerings of different email hosting providers can therefore vary with different needs. Email offered by most webhosting companies is usually more basic standardized POP3 based email and webmail based on open source webmail applications like Horde or Squirrelmail. Almost all webhosting providers offer standard basic email while not all email hosting providers offer webhosting.

Gmail Google Mail

Google Mail (Gmail).
Gmail was launched as an invitation-only beta release on April 1, 2004 and it became available to the general public on February 7, 2007, though still with beta status. As of July 2009[update], it has 146 million users monthly. The service was upgraded from beta status on July 7, 2009, along with the rest of the Google Apps suite.

With an initial storage capacity offer of 1 GB per user, Gmail significantly increased the webmail standard for free storage from the 2 to 4MB its competitors offered at that time. The service currently offers over 7350 MB of free storage with additional storage ranging from 10 GB to 400 GB available for $20 to $500 (US) per year.

Gmail has a search-oriented interface and a "conversation view" similar to an Internet forum. Software developers know Gmail for its pioneering use of the Ajax programming technique.

Spam filter

Gmail's spam filtering features a community-driven system: when any user marks an email as spam, this provides information to help the system identify similar future messages for all Gmail users.

Yahoo Mail Email Hosting

Yahoo Mail (Y! Mail) is a free web mail provided by Yahoo!. It was inaugurated in 1997 and serves over 280 million users as of 2009. It is currently the largest web-based email service, followed closely by its competitor Windows Live Hotmail.

Currently, Yahoo! offers two versions of Yahoo! Mail: an Outlook-like Ajax interface powered by Yahoo!'s Zimbra introduced in 2007, as well as the traditional static-web-page "Yahoo! Mail Classic," which continues the availability of the simpler 1997-2006 interface for the brand's considerable installed base of users. In early 2008, Yahoo! started offering unlimited mail storage even to its non-paying users, in response to heated competition in the free-web mail market segment.

On June 27, 2009, Yahoo! Messenger was integrated with Yahoo! Mail Beta. This means that Messenger and Mail are together at one place, allowing to connect instantly with friends that are online, switch seamlessly between email and chat, with no download or setup required. This new feature is now available for Mail Classic.

msn hotmail email

MSN Hotmail email.

Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail or just Hotmail to most, has seen a number of improvements in recent memory. Most notably it got an updated look, and they made everything faster.

Now they are rolling out a number of new features, which if users aren't seeing yet, they will be very soon. New features include:

- More room for messages
- Ever-growing storage
- Info at your fingertips
- More social
- A new way to get Hotmail on your phone
- More Themes

They have removed the banner ad that normally sits at the top of the screen, and have moved it to the side giving you more room for your messages. This combined with the new themes give users an opportunity to view their mail in a more pleasing-to-the-eye manner.

The ever-growing storage feature gives users an automatic 5GB of storage to start out with, but unlike other mail services that offer you tons of space from the get to, Hotmail’s will now simply grow as you need it. So basically, you still have unlimited space, it's just not being wasted, because it's not there until you need it.

By "info at your fingertips," Microsoft means that you can easily add local maps and directions, movie times, etc. to messages with the simple click of a button.
